A Walker Devastating industrial clatter overwhelms melody and melancholy in what must be the greastest Industrial Dark Ambient experience any listener is likely to encounter! This album covers extraordinary ground in sonic resonance. Compelling and lethargic in its composition this is by far the most intelligent soundscape you'll ever encounter. Favorite track: Winter's Kill.

Fahrenheight Nova If I were stumbling down the fog-laden streets of dark-world Silent Hill with its rusted, twisted grating over an endless void with creepy denizens lurking about and Akira Yamaoka was nowhere to be found, Rosenshoul would certainly be right there with its darkhorse ambiance. Don't let the fact that there are only two tracks fool you, this is still an essential hour + entry. "Winter's Kill" in its totality is perhaps the most challenging, yet rewarding beast of Rosenshoul's output. Excellent! Favorite track: Winter's Kill.

LJ Get this album here from BandCamp! Everywhere else I've seen it the track 'Winter's Kill' is split into two parts. Here it's unabridged and far better off as a single track. It's a far more twisted and deeper journey and most certainly makes it a more cohesive listening experience. As far as albums from The Rosenshoul are concerned tracks like Misery Chain hark back to earlier albums like 'Yokai' and 'Darker Blood'. Favorite track: Winter's Kill.

about

----------

The album Hidden Field is inspired by the 1979 Soviet science fiction film Stalker directed by Andrei Tarkovsky.

A "Stalker" is a person who leads people through the "Zone", an area in which the normal laws of physics do not apply and remnants of seemingly extraterrestrial activity lie undisturbed among its ruins. The Zone contains a place called the "Room", said to grant the wishes of anyone who steps inside. The area containing the Zone is shrouded in secrecy, sealed off by the government and surrounded by ominous hazards.

----------

"An abrasive industrial sound smothering a beautiful dark ambient melody from beginning to end. A most expansive and challenging journey throughout for any listener".

about

The Rosenshoul Japan

Imagine the internal workings of the human mind laid to waste like some post apocalyptic world. Those few tortured threads of humanity left drifting painfully through a vast empty nothingness. A deafening silence becomes an unbearable blinding hum, the pulsing in your temples an industrial nightmare. ... more
